2011 ILCA Conference and Annual Meeting
International Lactation Consultant Association 2011 ILCA Conference and Annual Meeting July 13-17, 2011 Raising the Bar: Enhancing Practices and Improving Health Outcomes Town and Country Resort San Diego, California, USA
Thank you for speaking at ILCA's 2011 Conference. The 2011 International Lactation Consultant Association Conference, Raising the Bar: Enhancing Practices and Improving Health Outcomes, is being held at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, California, USA from July 13-17, 2011. This five-day conference combines research and practice presentations with clinical and research skill development.
The ILCA annual conference showcases speakers with exceptional information, expertise, and presentation skills in order to provide quality information to attendees, we are excited to list you among those that will be sharing their insights, expertise and research with colleagues.
The Speaker Submission site for presentation materials will close April 17, 2011 11:59 pm EST.
Please review the submission guidelines before you submit your presentation materials to ensure that you meet the requirements and accept the parameters. As an accepted presenter you are required to comply with all presentation guidelines.
All speakers must submit the following materials through the online speaker site:
- Résumé or Curriculum Vitae (CV): Upload a Word or PDF file.
- Biographical sketch: Enter a brief paragraph describing your background to be used for your session introduction, Handbook, and CD. (75 words maximum)
- Brief outline: Upload a Word file that contains a brief outline of the presentation for the Handbook and CD. (1 page maximum)
- Session content: Upload your session content either in a PowerPoint or PDF file for the CD. PowerPoint files will be locked before being posted on the website or CD.
- Bibliography: Upload a Word file that contains a complete set of references for your session for the CD.
- Other handouts: Upload a Word or PDF file that includes any other handouts of the presentation for the CD.
Please read the PowerPoint Tips to assist you in preparing your presentation. Remember that a PowerPoint presentation is a visual supplement to your presentation, not the presentation itself. At best, it can only help illustrate your points, not give your entire presentation. What you say and how you say it is the main event. Spend more time on what you plan to say than on creating the slideshow. Be careful that your slideshow provides a visual supplement to what you say instead of limiting what you say or distracting you or your audience.
Note: ILCA will not copy any handouts at the Conference. All material pertinent to the presentation is to be included and will appear on the conference CD which all participants will receive. They must be received by April 17, 2011.
All submissions are due on or before: April 17, 2011 11:59 PM EST.
All program and logistic questions should be directed to Amanda Joslin at amanda@ilca.org or 919-459-6102.
